Tscha Bum playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Cha Bum-Kun, or aka Tscha Bum (Cha Boom), the former striker of Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer 04 Leverkusen in German Bundesliga, is one of the biggest heroes and the most influential idol in my life. Here are some quotes about him by some football (soccer) legends, magazines, newspapers, and some of the greatest and famous players.

Tscha Bum and Michael Ballack in 2006.

    Michael Ballack
-Is this Tscha Bum's country? I've always wanted to come here. Cha is my idol.

Tscha Bum and Oliver Kahn in 2004.

    Oliver Kahn
-I wanted to get your autograph. It is a great honour for me to be here.

    Michael Owen
-I respect Tscha Bum. I grew up watching him play, and I wanted to be a player like him.

    Luís Figo

    Pelé
-Tscha Bum really knows how to play Football (Soccer).

    Franz Beckenbauer
-I must show respect to Tscha Bum's mother. If Cha was a german, there's no doubt that I'll put him in Germany's national team.
Tscha Bum and Lothar Matthäus playing against each other in 1980.

    Lothar Matthäus
-I am young. Tscha Bum is the best attacker in the world.

    Paolo Maldini
-It is fortunate that I didn't have to face an attacker like him.

    Tscha Bum and Jürgen Klinsmann.

    Jürgen Klinsmann
-I am considered as an accomplished footballer, but I am not at the level of Tscha Bum.

    Sir Alex Ferguson
-The problem we couldn't solve was Tscha Bum. We could not stop him. He was unstoppable.

    Günter Netzer
-Cha would have been a starting forward for any club in the world. Asia has yet to produce another player of Cha's caliber.

Gerhard Schröder (Former Chancellor of Germany)
-The purpose of my visit to South Korea is to promote both countries's progress and to strengthen our friendship. But I want to meet Tscha Bum first.

Voted as one of the 1980's World XI
    Tscha Bum in KICKER magazine.

KICKER magazine - 1980's greatest player.
Tscha Bum in France Football magazine.

France Football Magazine - 4th in the World's most improved player.

One of the headlines of the newspapers: "Best player on earth: Cha Boom."

KICKER magazine: "Cha Boom, brings first ever UEFA Cups to two different teams. Hero of both Frankfurt and Leverkusen as well as the biggest star in the Bundesliga."

In 1979, German writer Eckhard Henscheid wrote a poem on Cha Bum-Kun, Hymne auf Bum Kun Cha (Hymn on Bum Kun Cha). It was first published in 1980 in an anthology, entitled Ein scharmanter Bauer. All ten strophes of the poem chant the eulogy to Cha, lavishly supplying grandiose expressions to glorify the gifted player and his game.

Dir! Heimat, die zweite, du fandst sie.

Many German football fans seem to remember Cha's heroics in the Bundesliga, repeatedly exclaiming on interviews that "Cha is a football legend"

He was voted Asia's best Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics in 1999

Tscha Bum! An unforgettable hero of Korea Republic, Asia, Frankfurt, Leverkusen, and the German Bundesliga.

  • I'm still too young but I'm making progress.

Over this summer, I've faced some challenges that I never had in my life. In my own evalution, I dealt with most of my challenges successfully and that proved how much I've changed and developed since I graduated high school last year. But in some part of this challenge, I was able to point out my weaknesses that still remain since as long as I could remember and although I tried hard to get over with them, I failed to do so.

However, I'm not disappointed! I'm grateful that I had so much great experiences over this summer which helped me to realise my hidden talents and weaknesses. And now that I learned more about myself, I'm ready to face more challenges that are coming toward me. And once again, I will make myself worthy and worthy of being your friend!

About Me

  • Everything I do is thoroughly planned before it comes to action. Nothing random, nothing coincident. And as I plan everything out, there is always a primitive goal. It's like the mission. The mission that I want to compelete, I need to complete, and I have to complete. That's what drives me in my life.
